This reduces the amount of work required in narrow and difficult-to-access spaces after hull assembly.

Completed blocks are transported to the assembly area using heavy-duty trailers, barges, or other specialized equipment.

Large cranes then position the blocks precisely. Laser measurement and digital surveying systems help ensure accurate alignment before the blocks are welded together.

Meanwhile, digital twin technology can simulate block transportation, lifting, assembly, and outfitting, helping shipyards reduce construction risks and improve production planning.
